Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is believed to be interested in snapping up Dominic Solanke.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Dominic Solanke would welcome a move to Ibrox to join Glasgow Rangers in January.

Steven Gerrard has only recently spoken to the Daily Mail about signing Solanke for Rangers, but he played down the rumours.

However, it seems that Solanke would be keen on a move to Ibrox, as he wants more game time and Rangers could offer him that.

Gerrard has his eyes on signing a new striker for Rangers, as he wants more competition for Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty in the second half of the season.

Solanke has barely featured at Liverpool this season, with Jurgen Klopp picking other options, but the Reds have not yet made their mind up over his future.

Liverpool are thought to be waiting until January to decide on whether to send Solanke out on loan, with Rangers waiting for Gerrard’s old side to make their minds up.

Rangers’ lack of a clinical finisher was shown once again last night, as they could only manage a 0-0 draw with Hibernian despite dominating for large periods.
