Tottenham Hotspur boss Daniel Levy is loathed to meet Inter Milan’s asking price for Milan Skriniar as he feels that the defender has very little re-sale value, Tutto Mercato Web say.
Inter are currently asking Tottenham for over £54 million for the central defender, and Levy feels that is simply too much.
Skriniar is now 25, and while that is hardly old, the Spurs chairman apparently realises that he is a player reaching his peak, rather than one to develop.
As a result, Tottenham are unlikely to bring in much money from Skriniar’s next sale, and Levy is believed to be reluctant to pay the full fee in that knowledge.
Instead, the Spurs chairman would like to arrange a swap deal – although no players are noted.

TMW also suggest that PSG are hot on the chase of the Slovakian, as they look to bolster their own defence.
That could complicate matters for Spurs, as PSG have a great amount of financial muscle and Champions League football on offer.
But Tottenham seem to be further ahead in their negotiations for Skriniar, and should still remain the favourites to get hold of him.
