It has been reported by the Italian news outlet that Leeds have held talks with Gonzalez’s entourage.
The Stuttgart forward is fascinated by the prospect of playing for Leeds in the Premier League, according to the report.
It has been further added that Leeds have made no formal offer for the Argentina international, who is valued at €20 minion (£18.08 million).
Stats
According to WhoScored, Gonzalez made 21 starts and six substitute appearances in the second division in Germany for Stuttgart this past season, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists in the process.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the young striker made 23 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Stuttgart, scoring two goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Leeds United transfer likely?
With Gonzalez seemingly open to joining Leeds, it appears that the only issue is the newly-promoted Premier League club agreeing a fee with Stuttgart.
Patrick Bamford is a very good striker, but someone as young and prolific as Gonzalez will make the Whites’ attacking unit better.
