German magazine Kicker have claimed on their website that Hoffenheim centre-back Benjamin Hubner has turned down a move to Everton in favour of remaining with the Bundesliga side.

However, with Hoffenheim qualifying for the Champions League by finishing in an excellent third place under Julian Nagelsmann, Hubner has opted to reject Everton in order to remain with his current side.

Hubner has been in excellent form for Hoffenheim throughout 2017-18, helping his side keep nine clean sheets in his 32 league and cup appearances. He also captained the side three times, and scored four goals.
