West Ham United have also been linked with a move for Napoli striker Eduardo Vargas.

According to a report by Gianlucadimarzio.com, Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim have agreed a deal with Napoli for Eduardo Vargas.

The Chile international’s future in Naples looks all but over after failing to establish himself as a first-team regular, and a move away from the club has been heavily mooted this summer.

According to a recent report by TMW, West Ham United tabled a loan offer for Vargas as the Hammers look to bring in extra bodies to cover for a number of injuries in the striker department.

However, talk of a switch to East London has quietened over the past 48 hours and the recent Copa America winner has now become the subject of interest from Germany.

Time running out:

With just over two weeks remaining of the current transfer window, time is running out for Slaven Bilic’s side to bring in much-needed competition upfront.

The injury to Enner Valencia was a big blow, but what the Hammers must be wary of is making a big splash now and later having too many strikers when Valencia and Andy Carroll return to fitness.

A loan move or a cheap addition must be preferable, but the closer we edge towards the deadline the more difficult West Ham’s task becomes as fellow clubs begin to hike up potential sale prices.
