According to The Athletic, Newcastle United duo Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin have a chance of playing against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Magpies are in desperate need of some good news, having been roundly trounced 3-0 by Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.
Steve Bruce is somehow clinging onto his job, and Newcastle desperately need a result when Premier League action returns next weekend.
Newcastle will face a tough game against Tottenham when the international break ends, but there could be some rare good news on the horizon.
It’s claimed that Wilson and Saint-Maximin both have a chance of playing against Spurs as they ramp up their returns from injury.
Wilson picked up a hamstring injury against Southampton in February, which was initially described as ‘devastating’, and he hasn’t played since.

Saint-Maximin was substituted against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month, a game in which Miguel Almiron also picked up an injury – but he is already back.
If Wilson and Saint-Maxmin can get themselves back for the run-in, Newcastle’s hopes of staying up would be greatly increased.
