The Portuguese winger has been linked with a move to Spurs for some time now.

Tottenham Hotspur might have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Portuguese winger Bruma, according to Hurriyet in Turkey.

He has reportedly told the Turkish side that he will not be signing a new contract at the club and that they should sell him to Spurs.

The report claims that Tottenham want to sign him for €20 million (£17 million) and that Bruma informed the hierarchy at Galatasaray that they should accept the bid, as it would be a good pay-packet for the club and he would get his dream of playing in England.

Galatasaray wanted the Spurs target to sign a three-year extension at the club, rising his release clause to €40 million.

But Bruma does not want to stay at the club beyond his current 2017 expiry date.

This week reports in Turkey have suggested Spurs already placed a €20 million (£17 million) bid for the player – as reported by Sporx – which has been knocked back by the Turkish club.

Earlier this week he insisted that he would not force his way out of the club in an interview with RTP but it certainly appears as though Bruma could still be on his way out of the club.

Tottenham will no doubt continue to keep track of the player.
