Everton winger Henry Onyekuru looks set to move on.

According to L’Equipe, Everton are set to sell winger Henry Onyekuru to Monaco in a deal worth around €17million (£15.5million), with a five-year deal imminent.
Onyekuru, 22, was a bargain signing for Everton in 2017, as they landed him from Belgian side KAS Eupen for just £7million (BBC Sport) after a 24-goal season.
However, the Nigerian couldn’t gain a work permit to play in England, and was immediately sent back to Belgium, joining Anderlecht, where he hit 10 goals in 28 games.
Onyekuru still couldn’t play in England last season, so was loaned out again, scoring 16 goals in 44 games for Galatasaray in Turkey, helping them win the league title.
Amid claims from Pulse that Onyekuru – who barely featured for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations this summer – still can’t get a work permit, Everton look set to sell.
It’s claimed that Onyekuru is now nearing a £15.5million move to Monaco, and has even told teammates that he’s joining the Ligue 1 side this week, signing a five-year deal.

Everton will seemingly gain more than double their money on Onyekuru, just as they did with fellow winger Ademola Lookman last week when he joined RB Leipzig.
Onyekuru will now follow Idrissa Gueye into French football, and given that this would be a third season where he would be unable to play for Everton, it may be a wise decision to simply move on and reinvest the cash in a player who can make an impact this season.
