The Newcastle United man has really struggled since moving to St James’ Park.

According to French publication L’Equipe, Magpies midfielder Henri Saivet is a transfer target for Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor, with a loan deal being mooted for the 27-year-old.
Saivet joined Newcastle from Bordeaux in January 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £5 million, but he has desperately struggled to establish himself on Tyneside, making just three league starts for the Toon.

Rafa Benitez will surely be extremely active between now and tomorrow night when the transfer window slams shut, both with potential incomings and outgoings.
Quite who the Spaniard is looking to bring in, and willing to let go, though, remains to be seen.

L’Equipe claim that Saivet is a player who Benitez has deemed to be surplus to requirements, however, and that Sivasspor are interested in taking him on loan for the rest of the season.
With just over a day remaining until the transfer window slams shut, both Newcastle and the Super Lig side will have to get down to business quickly if they want to get a deal for Saivet over the line.
