Could Henri Saivet and Emmanuel Riviere leave Newcastle United in the summer transfer window?
Emmanuel Riviere has been on the books of Newcastle United since 2014, but the 27-year-old has failed to make a huge impact at St. James’ Park.
Much was expected of the 27-year-old forward when he moved to Newcastle from AS Monaco in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £5 million, but things have not gone according to plan.
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez does not appear to rate former France Under-21 international, as he allowed him to leave for Osasuna on loan for the 2016-17 campaign.
According to The Chronicle, Riviere will be told to find a new club. Another player who does not seem to be in favour at the Magpies is Henri Saivet, who will also be told to find a new team, according to the report.
The midfielder joined Newcastle from French club Bordeaux in January 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £4.5m.
Like Riviere, Saivet has failed to make an impact at St. James’ Park. The 26-year-old Senegal international midfielder spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at French club Saint-Etienne.
