Aston Villa are reportedly set to complete the signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are expecting to complete the signature of Nottingham Forest star Henri Lansbury in the next 24 hours.
Villa have been desperately searching for new signings during this month’s transfer window, but have so far made just one addition with goalkeeper Sam Johnstone arriving from Manchester United on loan until the end of the season.

Now ten points adrift of a play-off place, Villa need more quality, and they appear to be on the verge of making another addition ahead of this weekend’s home game with Preston North End.
The Birmingham Mail report that Villa are finally set to complete the signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury after a prolonged transfer saga.

Lansbury, 26, joined Forest from Arsenal in 2012, and has hit 33 goals in 150 games for the club, becoming one of the top midfielders in the Championship during his time with Forest.
However, with his contract expiring at the end of the season, Forest are at risk of losing their star midfielder for nothing, and have instead chosen to cash in on him whilst they still can.
It’s claimed that Villa now expect Lansbury to join the club in the next 24 hours, having seemingly reached a breakthrough in their £3million pursuit of the playmaker.
The report adds that Lansbury is set to earn a whopping £40,000-a-week in wages at Villa Park, and manager Steve Bruce may not be done improving his midfield just yet, as Barnsley’s Conor Hourihane is also a target.
