Nathan Tella could be in line for a Premier League debut when Project Re-start gets underway with Ralph Hasenhuttl promoting the youngster to his first-team squad, according to AllNigeriaSoccer.

With each and every top-flight team under pressure to cram the remaining nine games of the season into the next few weeks, a whole host of talented youngsters will be chomping at the bit and desperate to make their mark.

Tella is just one of those.

An exciting winger who turned 21 recently, the Saints prospect is due to become a free agent at the end of June – though a new contract could be on the cards with his performances in training obviously catching Hasenhuttl’s eye.

Tella has been promoted to the first-team squad and featured in a friendly clash with Bristol City on Friday.

Hasenhuttl has a fine track record when it comes to promoting and improving young players too, and Tella will be hopeful of taking a leaf out of Jack Stephens’ or Will Smallbone’s book.

Timo Werner, Naby Keita and Lukas Klostermann also went from strength to strength under the Austrian coach during his time in charge of RB Leipzig.
