Report: Harry Winks to start for Tottneham Hotspur against Barcelona

Tottenham Hotspur are due to take on Barcelona in the Champions League tomorrow evening.

According to a report in the London Evening Standard, Harry Winks will be given a starting role for Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening.

Winks is said to be expected to start against Barcelona, as Spurs look to pick up an important three points in the Champions League.

Winks has started just one Premier League game this term, but looks set to get the nod from Mauricio Pochettino at Wembley.

Tottenham are struggling badly with injuries, with a number of first-team players currently out.

Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Moussa Dembele are all struggling, which has prompted Winks’ promotion.

Tottenham are now badly short in midfield, and it could be that Winks partners Victor Wanyama in the middle of the pitch.

Spurs lost their opening European clash to Inter Milan, so will be under pressure to get a result against Barca.
