According to the Liverpool Echo, Harry Wilson is ‘happy’ at Bournemouth – but is hoping that he will be given a chance at Liverpool.

It’s claimed that Wilson has been pleased on the South Coast, hence his desire to sign a short-term extension to his season-long loan move.

That means that the Welshman can see out the season with the Cherries, and play a role in trying to keep them in the Premier League.

Wilson will still return to Liverpool this summer, and he allegedly hopes that the Reds will give him a chance to shine next season and beyond.

Wilson, 22, has hit seven goals and two assists for Bournemouth this season, showing that he can make an impact in the Premier League having previously starred in the Championship.

It will be difficult for Wilson to break into the Liverpool side, but he may have been helped by the Reds failing to bring in Timo Werner.

The Reds have missed out to Chelsea in the race for Werner, and it seems unlikely that an alternative will now be found.

That means Klopp has to rely on his existing options. Divock Origi is one, but there is always a chance that Wilson can step in on the right if Mohamed Salah is out, or even if Salah is pushed up front.

Add in that few clubs will have the money to tempt Liverpool into a sale, and Wilson may get his wish and finally emerge with Liverpool.
