According to The Independent, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is receptive to the idea of new contract talks with the club.
It’s claimed that Spurs have opened up dialogue with Kane about extending his stay at the club, having penned a six-year deal in 2018.
Kane has allegedly made it known to the Tottenham hierarchy that he is happy to stay with Tottenham as long as they are contending for trophies – and he feels that is the case with Jose Mourinho in charge.
A new deal would Kane way beyond his current £200,000-a-week earnings, and whilst formal talks haven’t started, Kane is ‘receptive’ to the idea.
The report notes that Manchester City have long thought of Kane as the potential successor to Sergio Aguero, and are considering a big bid for him.
That may leave Kane with something of a dilemma; Spurs have shown promise under Mourinho, but City are perennial contenders under Pep Guardiola.

City may also be able to blow Spurs out of the water financially, so few would really blame him for seeing them as an attractive move.
Still, Kane seems willing to stay at Spurs, and as long as Tottenham get talks started before City can try to turn his head, another deal could be in the offing.
