According to The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur have now held talks with Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick.
Its claimed that Spurs have spoken directly to a number of candidates as they look for a new boss having sacked Jose Mourinho last month.
Flick is one of the names on the radar, having already confirmed that he is leaving Bayern this summer, with Tottenham target Julian Nagelsmann replacing him.
Flick is now in the running for the Spurs job, though it’s noted that he is more likely to become Germany’s new boss this summer.
Joachim Loew is leaving his post as Germany manager this summer, and his former assistant Flick is the hot favourite to take charge.
Flick may be exploring the Tottenham job just in case he doesn’t receive the interest he’s seeking from the German FA.
Flick, 56, lost just seven of his 85 games in charge of Bayern, winning a second league title in a row, whilst he even won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup in 2020.
His record speaks for itself, especially as his record with Hoffenheim in the past was far from disappointing, and Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno called Flick ‘outstanding’ and ‘top notch’ when speaking to SPORT1 this week.
Flick would be quite the coup for Spurs, and it seems that Daniel Levy is keen – but much will depend on the Germany situation.
