Hamburg are reportedly interested in signing Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.

Hamburg are interested in signing Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.
It has been reported by the French publication that the German club have made a bid of £9.5 million (€12m) for the midfielder.
Sissoko has been on the books of Newcastle since 2013 and has a contract with the Magpies until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The 26-year-old is on international duty at the moment, playing for France at the ongoing Euro 2016 finals on home soil.
Sissoko is not always consistent, but he is a very good footballer and one of the most talented in the current Newcastle squad.
The Magpies got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign and will feature in the Championship next season.

It is unlikely that Sissoko will remain at St. James’ Park and play in the second tier of English football next season.
However, a move to Hamburg is also unlikely, as the Bundesliga outfit are not in the Champions League or in the Europa League.
Hamburg finished as low as 10th in the Bundesliga during the 2015-16 season.
