Leeds United may look to sign Pierre-Michel Lasogga permanently this summer.

According to German newspaper Bild, Hamburg are likely to sell striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga this summer as they prepare for relegation.
Bernd Hollerbach’s side sit second bottom of the Bundesliga table, seven points adrift of the promotion/relegation play-off spot and seemingly doomed to relegation already.
As a result, Hamburg must apply for a license to play in the second tier, and would be required to slash their wage bill, meaning some big-name players may leave the club this summer.

Bild claim that one such player is striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga, as whilst he would be dangerous in the second tier, Hamburg believe they can cash in on him and have concerns over fitting his wages into their plans when he returns from his loan at Leeds.
A chance for Leeds to seal a deal?
Lasogga joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Hamburg last summer, arriving as a replacement for Chris Wood following his big-money move to Burnley.

The burly German striker has divided opinion at times due to his lack of mobility, but his goalscoring prowess has shone through, especially in recent weeks, as he has hit five goals in his last eight games.
That’s now 10 goals in just 23 Championship games this season, and Leeds may well pursue a permanent deal for the 26-year-old target man this summer.
Hamburg’s willingness to sell Lasogga is a major boost to those hopes, but whether Leeds can fit his full wage packet into their budget remains to be seen.
