Gylfi Sigurdsson looks all set to leave Swansea City to join Everton this summer.
Everton have reportedly submitted a £40 million offer for Sigurdsson, and they expect that to be enough to convince Swansea to sell the Icelandic international.
Sigurdsson, himself, is now preparing for his departure and is understood to have given his parting wishes to his Swansea teammates this morning.
Everton are now hopeful of getting a deal for Sigurdsson secured in the very near future.
The Toffees have got nearly every player they have gone after this summer, in what has been a very productive window for Ronald Koeman’s side.
Although Everton have lost Romelu Lukaku, the funds they have received from his transfer to Manchester United, are being reinvested.
Sigurdsson is likely to go straight into Everton’s first-team upon signing, and he should add creativity and a goalscoring threat to Koeman’s team.
Sigurdsson netted nine goals and created 13 assists last season for Swansea.
