Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is open to the idea of signing Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz again, according to Bleacher Report.
Villa bought Luiz from City last summer, and the Brazilian has gone on to play regularly for Dean Smith’s side.
Luiz initially seemed to struggle, but since the restart he has been one of Villa’s better performers.
And Guardiola is now said to be willing to bring Luiz back to the Etihad Stadium.
The Spanish boss has always spoken highly of the Villa midfielder, and is known to be a fan of his abilities.
Guardiola has reportedly kept getting reports on Luiz’s progress, and the feedback has been good.
Whether Villa would be open to selling Luiz back to City remains to be seen, but if they are relegated they could be powerless to resist.
The claret and blues are currently sat in 19th place in the Premier League table, four points away from safety.
