Manchester City reportedly have no plans to loan out Phil Foden this summer.

According to The Mirror, Manchester City have no plans to let midfielder Phil Foden leave on loan this summer amid links to Newcastle United.
Foden, 18, has emerged as City’s most exciting youngster in recent years, with many tipping him as a star for both club and country.
Yet whilst former teammate Jadon Sancho left City for first-team football in Germany and is now an England regular, Foden has yet to start a Premier League game this season.
Many feel that the teenager risks stalling his career on the City bench, and The Sun recently reported that Newcastle and Southampton both wanted Foden on loan, but City said no.
The Mirror now add to those claims, suggesting that Premier League clubs have already asked about a summer loan deal – but boss Pep Guardiola has put the block on a loan exit.
Foden will now face up to another season of fighting for playing time with David Silva, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, and will hope a strong pre-season can put him firmly in the mix.

Newcastle, if their January interest was true, figure to be one of those clubs asking about signing Foden, in a move which would be a surprise from Rafael Benitez given that he already has Sean Longstaff.
Newcastle are certainly better off developing their own rather than signing Foden, and whilst another midfielder may be needed with Mo Diame’s contract expiring this summer, Foden would have been a shock signing for the Magpies, so Guardiola’s stance may not be a huge blow.
