Celtic look set to sign Kilmarnock left back Greg Taylor.

According to the Daily Record, Kilmarnock defender Greg Taylor underwent a medical with Celtic on Saturday ahead of finalising his move to Parkhead.
The Bhoys lost two left backs this summer, with Emilio Izaguirre returning to Motagua in Honduras before Kieran Tierney made his big-money move to Arsenal.
Belgian ace Boli Bolingoli arrived from Rapid Vienna earlier this summer, but one more left back has been on Neil Lennon’s radar – and Taylor has been a top name linked.
The 21-year-old was left out of Kilmarnock’s squad against St Johnstone on Saturday, and it’s now believed that he completed his medical with Celtic yesterday, which would explain his absence for Killie.
It’s claimed that Celtic have been trying to rush through a deal to get Taylor involved in today’s Old Firm derby with Rangers, but it’s unclear whether the necessary paperwork has been done in time.
There was a hold up as Celtic are sending two players to Rugby Park, with centre back Jack Hendry joining on loan and left back Calvin Miller signing a permanent deal.

With three players involved, the deal is understandably taking a little time to finalise, but Celtic appear to have their man, even if he can’t play today.
A Scotland international who ironically grew up supporting Rangers, Taylor is more defensively sound than Bolingoli and still has huge potential, meaning this appears to be a smart move for the Bhoys.
