Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is now questioning whether the Gunners are the right club for him, Football London report.
PSG are said to be in the hunt for Bellerin, and made an offer to Arsenal last night.
Although Mikel Arteta doesn’t want to lose the right-back, who has played a key role under his stewardship so far, there is a realisation around Arsenal that they need to raise funds.
Bellerin is one of the most valuable assets in their whole squad, and would fetch a significant sum if he was to be offloaded.
Arsenal want £35 million for the rapid right-back, and it seems that the interest in him has now turned his head.
Even though Arsenal have shown great signs of promise under Arteta, PSG look more likely winners of the Champions League in the near future, and Bellerin is now in two minds over whether staying with the Gunners would actually be right for him.
The 25-year-old, who Arteta once labelled as ‘great’ when they were teammates (TalkSPORT), is apparently starting to question whether staying at Arsenal actually would be a good move, and it seems that if PSG have an offer accepted, then he could be open to a switch.
If Bellerin was to leave it would be a blow to the quality of Arsenal’s first-team, but arguably one they could cope with.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has shown great form recently and he could take Bellerin’s place, while Cedric Soares would offer solid cover in the right-back slot if needed.
