Thiago Alcantara has already told his teammates that he is leaving Bayern Munich, with a move to Liverpool in the pipeline, according to RMC Sport.
In a remarkable update, Liverpool now are apparently set to sign Thiago in the very near future.
The Spanish midfielder has been one Jurgen Klopp’s side’s wishlist all summer, but conflicting reports have emerged over their interest.
It was thought that Liverpool wouldn’t push for a deal unless they sold a midfielder, but RMC now say that Thiago is on the verge of making the switch to Anfield.
The 29-year-old is said to have agreed a four-year deal with Klopp’s men.
That would keep him at Liverpool until he is 33, meaning the Reds would surely have him for some of the peak years of his career.

If Thiago was to join Liverpool he would be a seriously exciting addition to Klopp’s squad.
The former Barcelona man, who Klopp actually called a ‘great player’ to Goal, is one of the most technically efficient midfielders in the whole of world football, and he would add a huge amount of creativity to the Reds’ side.
