Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish is due to arrive in Manchester later today in order to complete a move to Manchester City.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that a £100million deal could be finalised by the end of the day.
City have allegedly activated a £100million release clause in Grealish’s deal, securing a major addition for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Grealish has held talks with Villa’s sporting director Johan Lange, and whilst he remained professional, he wants to take the next step in his career.
The news comes just a couple of hours after Villa confirmed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, which may soften the blow of Grealish leaving.
The report adds that Villa now want to add four more signings with the money that seems to be coming in for Grealish.

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe, Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse, Norwich City playmaker Todd Cantwell and Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham are all wanted at Villa Park.
That outlay wouldn’t come easily, especially after signing Bailey and Emiliano Buendia, but selling Grealish could fund it.
Villa fans will of course be sad to see their homegrown star leave, and lingering hope of him choosing to stay put now appears to be dwindling.
