Leeds United face a fight getting their hands on long-term target Anthony Limbombe – as a La Liga side join the race for the signature of the Belgian winger.

Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Granada are joining Leeds United and Toulouse in the hunt for his signature this summer – as it looks increasingly likely that he will be leaving NEC Nijmegen.

However, the report also comments that an initial approach from the Spanish side has not met the Eredvisie outfit’s asking price for the winger.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported on Monday that Leeds supremo Massimo Cellino was still interested in bringing the player, who was linked with a move to Leeds a year ago, to Elland Road 12 months down the line.

Limbombe has found himself in hot water with his current club, after storming out of training last week, as confirmed by the club on their official website.

It was reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post last summer that Leeds had a £1.5 million bid for the player rejected – a fee that owner Cellino was not willing to go above.

Leeds are however still in the hunt for a winger and Limbombe has not been forgotten.

However, with La Liga transfer opposition, Leeds have a real fight on their hands getting hold of the player.
