Rangers are still attempting to snap up Graham Dorrans.

According to The Express, Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans has told the club that he wants to leave as Rangers attempt to sign him.

Dorrans, 30, joined Norwich from West Bromwich Albion in 2015, scoring three times in 18 games during a loan deal, before making his move permanent.

The Scotland international only played half of Norwich’s Championship games last season, scoring six goals as he struggled to nail down a regular place in the Canaries’ starting line-up.

With new manager Daniel Farke new in charge at Carrow Road and new sporting director Stuart Webber planning an overhaul of the squad, Dorrans could be on the chopping block.

The Express now report that Dorrans has asked to leave Carrow Road, as he attempts to force through a move to join his boyhood club Rangers.

The Gers have had two bids rejected for Dorrans as manager Pedro Caixinha pushes to offer the midfielder a dream move to Ibrox, having grown up supporting the club.

Rangers have allegedly returned with a third bid worth £1.3million plus add-ons in the hope of finally tempting Norwich into a deal – and Dorrans allegedly asking to leave may just force their hand.

Rangers have already signed eight players this summer, bringing Bruno Alves, Fabio Cardoso, Ryan Jack, Carlos Pena, Dalcio, Daniela Candeias, Alfredo Morelos and Eduardo Herrera to Ibrox, but landing a boyhood Rangers fan and a Scotland international in Dorrans would be a huge coup for the Gers.
