Watford striker Troy Deeney is set for talks about his future as the Hornets’ Premier League rivals monitor the situation.

Deeney may perhaps be one player who is not overly disappointed to see a change at Vicarage Road. The 29-year-old was a more peripheral figure under former Hornets boss Marco Silva and that had led to plenty of speculation surrounding his future during the January transfer window.

The Sun reports that West Brom and Newcastle are both interested in the striker and their chances of potentially signing him this month could be about to become a lot clearer in the very near future.

Deeney has been an excellent servant for Watford down the years so it is perhaps best to assume that Gracia wants to give the forward every chance to salvage his Hornets career, especially as he has put talks with the captain at the top of his list of priorities.
But perhaps West Brom and Newcastle will just keep a keen eye on developments in case the decision that Gracia and Deeney come to involves the player deciding to seek a move away before the deadline.
