Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has a big-money offer from an unnamed team in Russia according to a new report from Eurosport.

The Gers probably knew this was going to happen.

Kamara was simply superb in Rangers’ title-winning season, earning the tag of ‘exceptional’ from former Rangers hero Barry Ferguson.

The former Arsenal man was always going to attract interest though, especially as he had the platform of playing at Euro 2020 with Finland.

Last week, 90Min claimed that Everton and West Ham United had both made contact with Kamara’s representatives in an effort to bring him back to England.

Now though, it’s stated that an unnamed Russian club have a big-money offer on the table to Kamara, giving him plenty to think about.

Spartak Moscow could be a strong shout given that their midfield star Alex Kral has been linked with a move away, but it’s unclear exactly who wants Kamara.

If Kamara is to leave Ibrox, it needs to be for a step up in some way.

Rangers have Champions League football under Steven Gerrard this coming season, and a move to Russia just doesn’t seem to be career-boosting; financially it’s great, but it would surely take something special for him to pass up Champions League action.

Everton or West Ham can at least offer the Premier League platform, with the latter having Europa League football next term.

Kamara is a fan favourite at Ibrox and shouldn’t take that lightly if a money-spinning offer from Russia does arrive.
