Pedro Caixinha is reportedly keen to bring the boyhood Rangers fan to Ibrox this summer.

The Eastern Daily Press reports that Rangers are yet to get anywhere near Norwich City’s valuation of Graham Dorrans, despite speculation on the contrary.

It was claimed on Wednesday that the Gers had seen an offer of £1.3 million plus add-ons accepted by the English side.

But according to The Eastern Daily Press, those figures are ‘well wide of the mark’, with the publication adding that Rangers will have to ‘up the ante’ if they want to prise the 30-year-old away from Carrow Road, after tabling a ‘derisory offer’ understood to be less than £500,000.

Glasgow-born Dorrans is widely acknowledged to be keen on a move to the team he supported as a boy, although it is claimed that Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber, who according to The Express was himself a target for Rangers earlier this year, will only sanction sales on the club’s terms

The Scotland international, who scored six goals in 24 Norwich outings last season, has two years left to run on his deal.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes confirmed via The Daily Record this week that Rangers were also unsuccessful with a bid for Kenny McLean, who plays in the same position as Dorrans.

Rangers kick off their 2017-18 campaign on Thursday, with Luxembourg outfit Progres Niederkorn visiting Ibrox for a Europa League first qualifying round tie.
