According to a report in the Scottish Sun, Glasgow Rangers are interested in Manchester City defender Kean Byran.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was said to be have been impressed by Bryan’s display out on loan at Oldham Athletic last term.

Bryan appears to have no future at City, and Rangers are keen to offer him a chance to play first-team football at Ibrox.

Gerrard is eager to bring in a fourth centre-back this summer, as he looks to strengthen this defence.

Rangers have already been linked with Jake Cooper and Curtis Tilt, but Bryan is believed to be their latest target.

Bryan has just a year left on his contract at City, meaning he should not be a particularly expensive purchase for Rangers.

The Scottish Sun suggest that if Rangers do move for Bryan they will be competing against a host of Championship sides from England of his signature.

Steven Gerrard is unveiled as the new manager of Rangers football Club at Ibrox Stadium on May 4, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.
