Mark Warburton had wanted to bring Niko Kranjcar to Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

According to a report in the Daily Record, Niko Kranjcar’s proposed move to Glasgow Rangers is off.
Krajncar had been on the verge of moving to Ibrox, but the experienced midfielder has reportedly turned down the chance to join Mark Warburton’s side.

Kranjcar’s wife, Zrinka Cvitesic, reportedly does not want to move to Scotland – and would rather stay in America. Kranjcar is currently playing for New York Cosmos, but he has not been offered a new contract by the US side.
Rangers have already made four signings this summer, but Kranjcar’s rejection will be a blow for Warburton.
The Light Blues have been tracking the Croatian international for some time, but they have failed to get a deal over the line.

Rangers have shown great ambition with their recruitment so far, and they are plotting to make further additions in the coming weeks, as Warburton aims to build a squad capable of competing in the top tier.
Rangers had felt Kranjcar would be a valuable addition to their team as they began to prepare for life in the Scottish Premiership, but they will now have to turn their attentions elsewhere.
