Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are keen to make a new managerial appointment in the near future, after Mark Warburton’s departure.

According to a report on Sky Sports, Glasgow Rangers held an interview with Gary Rowett earlier this week.
Rangers met with Rowett on Tuesday, as they looked at candidates to replace Mark Warburton.
The Ibrox side are reportedly now close to making an appointment, and Rowett is thought to be one of the candidates to take over at the Glasgow side.
The former Birmingham City boss discussed a range of topics earlier this week, with Rangers chiefs keen to hear his plans for the future.
Rangers reportedly talked through Rowett’s plans for the academy, how he would coach on the training ground, and his views on recruitment.
Rangers want a manager with a long-term view to make the club title contenders once again.
As things stand, Rangers are in third place in the Scottish Premiership table, with Graeme Murty currently in caretaker charge.
The Light Blues have had a difficult time of late, but they did win their last fixture 3-2 against St. Johnstone yesterday.
