Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers’ striker Martyn Waghorn could be set to leave,
Glasgow Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn is ready to leave Ibrox, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.
Waghorn wanted a new contract at Rangers, but he has not been handed the opportunity to sign new terms.
Waghorn felt that his performances last season, when he finished as top scorer for Rangers, merited a new deal.
However, Rangers did not offer the striker an improved deal – despite giving pay rises to many of their other key players from last season over the summer.
Waghorn is said to have been unhappy that he was not rewarded, and he is now willing to leave the Glasgow side in January.
Both Bristol City and Fulham are said to be interested in the Rangers forward, who has scored eight goals in 14 matches so far this season.
If Waghorn does leave Rangers, they Ibrox side would be left with Joe Dodoo, Kenny Miller and Joe Garner competing for a striking place in Mark Warburton’s first-team.
