Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers striker Umar Sadiq has struggled since joining Steven Gerrard’s side.

Umar Sadiq looks on during a media work out at the Peacock Gym on September 13, 2017 in London, England.

According to a report in the Daily Express, Glasgow Rangers could terminate Umar Sadiq’s loan early.

Sadiq has had a miserable time since moving to Ibrox this summer on a loan spell from Roma.

The striker just hasn’t looked up to standard at Rangers, and his last performance was a disaster.

Sadiq was given a rare start in Rangers’ League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen, but he struggled as Steven Gerrard’s side crashed out of the competition at Hampden Park.

Rangers could now reportedly cancel his loan and send him back to Roma earlier than expected.

Rangers had signed Sadiq for the season, but Gerrard is making plans in January which could spell the end for the youngster.

Rangers want to sign a striker in January, and if a new front man does come in, then Gerrard may look to end Sadiq’s spell at Ibrox and send him back to Italy.
