Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers look set to sell Graham Dorrans this summer, with Steven Gerrard not taking him to Portugal with the squad.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Graham Dorrans is said to be stunned with Steven Gerrard’s decision to leave him back at Ibrox rather than take him to Portugal with the rest of the squad.

The Daily Record claims that Dorrans is heading for the exit at Rangers, much to his surprise.

Dorrans was preparing to join the rest of his teammates over pre-season, but has been told by Gerrard that he has no future at Rangers.

It now seems that the 32-year-old will be forced to leave Rangers this summer, as Gerrard reshuffles his squad.

Dorrans has had a difficult time at Rangers due to injury. He has shown flashes of quality, but has never really held down a position in the Gers’ starting line-up.

Gerrard may well have made a smart decision to let the £1 million signing (Sunday Post) go, as he seems to have ambitious transfer plans for Rangers this summer.

Dorrans is already struggling for game time at Ibrox, and if Rangers do bring in more midfielders this summer, then it could be best for club and player if he moves on.
