According to a report in The Scottish Sun, Glasgow Rangers board have been impressed by Kenny Miller since Mark Warburton’s departure.

With Graeme Murty in caretaker charge, Miller has decided to use his experience to help out the rookie boss.

Miller has not been asked to help coach at Rangers, but he has still been influential on the training field.

The 37-year-old has offered advice to his Rangers’ teammates, with the pressure on the team to break out of their slump.

Rangers have been in poor form recently, and they have won just once in their last four matches.

Miller’s contract at Ibrox is actually set to expire in the summer, but Rangers’ board may be more open to negotiations, after being impressed with his attitude.

Miller may be required to continue in his player coach role for a considerable amount of time yet, as Rangers are not thought to be close to appointing a new manager.

Murty is expected to remain in charge of Rangers for the Glasgow side’s next match, which comes against Dundee at the weekend.
