Glasgow Rangers are trying to bring West Ham United defender Reece Oxford to Ibrox.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the depth Glasgow Rangers’ current squad could prove to be a complication in any deal which is done for West Ham United defender Reece Oxford.
Rangers have asked West Ham about the possibility of taking the youngster on loan, and the London club are weighing up whether to sanction the deal.
Oxford made seven first-team appearances for the Hammers last term, but he has struggled for game time this season.

West Ham still rate the 18-year-old, who has recently signed a new contract at the London Stadium, highly though and are keen to only allow him to leave if the opportunity is right.
West Ham have been assessing whether a loan to Rangers would enhance Oxford’s development.
And the Mail suggest that Rangers’ wealth of centre-backs, could be something which puts Slaven Bilic off agreeing to the transfer.

Rangers currently have Rob Kiernan, Clint Hill, Danny Wilson and Philippe Senderos all at Ibrox, meaning competition for places in Mark Warburton’s side’s defence is already fierce.
If Oxford wants to join Rangers, he would become their third addition of the January transfer window.
