Mark Warburton wants to work with Alan Judge again with Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers reportedly making two bids so far.

Queens Park Rangers have failed with two bids for Ipswich Town midfielder Alan Judge. But, according to The Standard, Mark Warburton has not given up hope of reuniting with one of his favourites at Loftus Road.

And after finishing bottom of the Championship table with the Tractor Boys last season, Judge should be looking to seize the chance to work with Warburton again.

After all, there is a real mutual respect between player and manager.

“He’s a real talent. He’s clever on the ball, he’s strong, he’s physical and defends well,” Warburton told MyLondon during their time together at Brentford, for whom Judge scored a career-best 14 goals in the 2015/16 campaign.

According to The Standard, QPR have failed with two offers for the Republic of Ireland international, the most recent standing at £500,000.

But with the club’s coffers set to be swelled by Darnell Furlong’s impending £1.5 million move to West Bromwich Albion, QPR might soon be in a position to meet Ipswich’s price tag for a player who needs a fresh start away from Anglia.

His creativity and devilish dead-ball delivery could help fill the vacuum left by the departure of influential midfielder Luke Freeman to Sheffield United too with Warburton the best man to eke every ounce of talent out of a player who still has a lot to offer even as he enters his 30s.
