Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Argentine.
According to a report from Spanish media outlet Diario De Sevilla, Real Betis ace Giovani Lo Celso wants to join Tottenham this summer.
Spurs have been tracking the Argentine all summer, according to reports, with the most recent claims suggesting that they have submitted a £61 million bid for his services (Mucho Deporte).
It is claimed that Betis will not sell Lo Celso, 23, for anything less than £67 million, however, so Tottenham will have to increase their bid, if they want to land the midfield ace.
Seville based media outlet Diario De Sevilla claims that the player himself is very keen to join Spurs, however, and that will surely make Mauricio Pochettino’s task of bringing him to north London a whole lot easier.
Lo Celso is a real talent, and should Tottenham manage to bring him to the club, they will have a seriously good player on their hands.
The Argentina international plays with a certain kind of grace, and his creativity and guile would compliment Tanguy Ndombele’s skillset perfectly.
Whether Tottenham will pay Betis what they are demanding for Lo Celso, however, remains to be seen.
