The Argentine is allegedly closing in on joining Tottenham Hotspur.
According to a report from the Daily Star, Giovani Lo Celso has been pencilled in for a medical at Tottenham this morning, having flown to London last night to discuss personal terms with the Lilywhites.
The Argentine has been on Spurs’ radar all summer long, and it seems that Mauricio Pochettino may have finally got his man.
Lo Celso, 23, was in superb form for Betis last season, racking up 16 goals and six assists in 45 appearances in all competitions, and his creativity and guile in the final third will surely prove to be a great asset for Tottenham.
The Daily Star claims that Spurs agreed a £55.5m deal to sign the South American from Betis last night, and the attacking midfielder flew straight into England to discuss personal terms with the north London outfit.
Lo Celso has now been pencilled in for a medical at Tottenham early this morning.
So it seems as though it shouldn’t be too long before Spurs announce another huge signing, and what an absolute cracker of a transfer window this is turning out to be for Tottenham fans.
