Tottenham Hotspur are attempting to bring in Giovani Lo Celso.

According to The Mirror, Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is attempting to force through a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Lo Celso, 23, has just enjoyed an outstanding season in Spain, racking up 16 goals and six assists during a loan spell from Paris Saint-Germain.
Betis activated a purchase clause in the loan, but there’s a chance they could turn a quick profit on the Argentina international amid interest from Spurs.
The Mirror now claim that Lo Celso is forcing through a move, with Tottenham failing with a £62million bid, made up of £50million up front and £12million in add-ons.
It’s claimed that Lo Celso’s agents now believe they’ve reached an agreement with Betis to deal at £70million, some way short of the £88million release clause in his contract.
That’s a major boost for Spurs, but that price is still a major hurdle to clear, with £8million needed to secure a deal for the skilful midfielder.

That would shatter Tottenham’s transfer record, which stands at £42million for Davinson Sanchez, and whether Daniel Levy is willing to sanction such a move remains to be seen.
Lo Celso wants to join Spurs and work with Mauricio Pochettino, meaning Betis are somewhat relaxing their stance, but they’ll still demand a huge £70million fee.
