Tottenham Hotspur may well be closing in on Giovani Lo Celso.

According to Informa Betis, Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a deal to sign Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso – and he could undergo a medical this week.
Spurs have already splashed the cash on one midfielder in Tanguy Ndombele, but Lo Celso has been a prime target for Mauricio Pochettino all summer too.
The Argentinian playmaker has ben linked with Spurs for a couple of months now, but Sky Sports recently claimed that the move has gone cold over the price involved.
Now though, Betis-dedicated side Informa Betis claim that a €70million (£63million) deal appears to be close, and with Lo Celso deciding that Tottenham is his next club, a medical is ‘expected’ this week.
That would be a second huge outlay of the summer, and the recent sale of right back Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid may just help Spurs push the boat out for Lo Celso.
The former Paris Saint-Germain ace hit 16 goals from midfield last season, and would not only provide goals but also creativity, potentially as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.

The move will also give Betis the funds to complete moves for top targets Nabil Fekir and Borja Iglesias, meaning they’re actually hoping the move goes through just as much as Spurs are.
Spurs fans will be delighted with the news if true, and may just give Pochettino a well-balanced diamond in midfield of Harry Winks, Ndombele, Lo Celso and Dele Alli for the new Premier League season.
