Rangers boss Steven Gerrard wants a deal for Huddersfield Town midfielder Juninho Bacuna tied up before tonight’s game with Alashkert.
That’s according to The Scottish Sun, who claim that the deal could be agreed inside the next 24 hours.
Bacuna won’t be able to play against Alashkert even if he does sign today, but Gerrard is seemingly wanting business done quickly.
Rangers and Huddersfield are now in talks over the terms of the deal, which could be sorted within a matter of hours if Gerrard gets his way.
Gerrard has admitted that he feels Rangers are missing an attacking midfielder, and seemingly believes that Bacuna can fill that role.
Bacuna, 23, is currently being exiled from the Huddersfield side because he hasn’t signed a new deal and can leave for free next summer.

Rangers may now sense a bargain for the Curacao international, who recorded five goals and four assists in 43 Championship games last season.
Ross Wilson will now be locked in talks today trying to fulfil Gerrard’s request, with the Rangers boss seemingly not wanting this situation to be on his mind after tonight’s game.
