Ex-Rangers midfielder Steven Davis could return to Ibrox in January.

According to the back page of the Scottish Daily Express (16/10), Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is lining up a January move to bring Steven Davis back to Ibrox.
The Gers were hugely active in the summer transfer window, landing 15 signings to completely revamp Gerrard’s squad, and results so far have been impressive with just two defeats in all competitions.
Rangers will already be eyeing up players for January moves, and it seems that another player could be returning to Ibrox having left the club in 2012.
The Scottish Daily Express (16/10) report on their back page today that Gerrard is lining up a January deal for Southampton midfielder Steven Davis in an attempt to bring him back to Glasgow.
Davis, 33, joined Rangers from Fulham in 2008, and hit 22 goals in 210 appearances before leaving in the summer of 2012 when he refused to transfer his contract to the ‘new’ Rangers following their dissolution.
The Northern Irishman signed for Southampton as a free agent, and has racked up more than 200 appearances for the Saints, but is struggling for first-team football under Mark Hughes this term.

After bringing former players Allan McGregor and Kyle Lafferty back to the club after their 2012 exit, Gerrard may now look to do the same with Davis when the transfer window opens.
Davis may still have his fans, but at 33, it would still be a surprise to see Rangers add him when they already have Graham Dorrans, as well as youngster Greg Docherty out on loan gaining experience.
