Steven Gerrard fears Glen Kamara could leave in January with Leeds United, Everton and Southampton among the clubs who have watched the Rangers midfielder in recent weeks, according to Teamtalk.
Kamara has established himself as a key player for Rangers since his £50,000 transfer from Dundee in January 2019.
And the likes of Leeds, Everton and Southampton are not the first to be credited with an interest.
Gerrard is therefore desperate to tie down the Finland international to a new Rangers contract, according to Teamtalk.
Kamara’s existing deal still has two-and-a-half years left to run, but the lure of the Premier League – in which the 24-year-old failed to feature while on Arsenal’s books – could prove strong.
Unlike both Everton and Southampton, who brought in Allan and Ibrahima Diallo, respectively, in Kamara’s position this summer, Leeds failed to add to their options in central midfield.

And that decision threatens to be exposed in the coming weeks, with Kalvin Phillips out injured.
It remains to be seen how much Rangers would ask for Kamara, although it is likely to far exceed their initial outlay.
