Yes, Georginio Wijnaldum’s future may end up sending a Real Madrid ace to Everton… let us explain.
So Everton are pretty keen on signing Real’s Lucas Vazquez, who is out of contract at the end of the season and looks set to leave on a free transfer.
Mundo Deportivo claim that the Toffees already have an offer on the table to Vazquez, in the hope of winning the race for his signature.
They’re not exactly alone in the race, and The Mirror claim that Vazquez fancies joining Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer in order to join up with Jose Mourinho.
Calciomercato now claim that Inter Milan were keen on a deal, but they are parking their interest in order to focus on a deal for Liverpool’s Wijnaldum.
Wijnaldum, much like Vazquez, is out of contract this summer and can be signed for free. Inter don’t want to sign both as things stand, and have decided to focus on Wijnaldum.

Liverpool seem resigned to losing the Dutchman when his deal ends, and whilst Barcelona have been most strongly linked, Inter are keen too.
Focusing on signing the Liverpool man means Everton have a greater chance at landing Vazquez, and it could be something of a double win for the Toffees if they’re strengthened whilst Liverpool are somewhat weakened.
