According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has ‘given the OK’ to joining Barcelona this summer.
It’s claimed that Barcelona have now opened negotiations with Liverpool, but won’t pay any more than €20million (£18million) for him.
Barca have seemingly made contact with Wijnaldum through his representatives, and if this report is true, then he has intimated that he would be interested in the move.
Wijnaldum, 29, is out of contract in 2021, meaning Barcelona are looking to strike something of a bargain for the Dutchman.
The midfielder cost Liverpool £25million in 2016, meaning Liverpool would have to accept a £7million loss under these terms.
Jurgen Klopp will likely put up a fight to keep Wijnaldum, as the Dutchman has been a key part of his Liverpool midfield for four years now.

New Barca boss Ronald Koeman is a huge fan of Wijnaldum though, and having coached him on the international stage, a reunion does make some sense.
Liverpool still have time to sort out a new deal with Wijnaldum, but if he feels he can receive a long-term offer from Barca, he would be foolish to ignore the prospect of a move to the Camp Nou – especially as he approaches 30.
