Could Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Burnley make moves for the Stoke City utility man?

According to the Daily Mail [live blog entry 17:09], Stoke City’s Geoff Cameron has emerged as a ‘last-minute target’ for Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Burnley.
It is claimed Cameron, who was left out of Paul Lambert’s maiden starting line-up, is prepared to leave Stoke in search of more game time – although the American has still appeared on 16 occasions for the Potters this season.
And he could be an option for Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Burnley in their search for new additions ahead of Wednesday’s 11pm deadline.
The trio all been tipped to strengthen their central defensive ranks, in particular. And that Cameron, who turns 33 this year, is also capable of playing right-back and central midfield roles should only increase his appeal.

The former Houston Dynamo player, who has 55 caps for his country, has two-and-a-half years left on his Stoke contract.
Should he be cleared to leave the Bet 365 Stadium, however, it could be that Burnley is the Potters’ preferred destination, given that only four points separates Lambert’s men and Palace, with Newcastle sandwiched between the pair.
