Kylian Mbappe’s chances of staying at PSG are rated as genuinely 50/50 by the Telegraph, amid claims he wants to join Liverpool.

Mbappe has persistently refused to sign a new PSG deal, with his current contract expiring in 2022, and his future is now firmly in doubt.

Interestingly the Transfer Window Podcast recently suggested that Mbappe had told friends that he would like to join Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

The Telegraph also mentions the Reds as a potential candidate to be in the running to land the 22-year-old attacker, who was hailed as ‘world-class’ by Didier Deschamps (Ligue 1).

However, as always with the Mbappe links, Liverpool’s finances would be the issue with any potential deal.

The temptation to try and land Mbappe must be there for FSG, but they have always been financially prudent during their time at Anfield.

Real Madrid are also thought to be hunting the Frenchman, who scored a Champions League brace against Bayern Munich in the week, to confirm his status as one of the game’s genuine superstars.

If Mbappe does leave, which is now reportedly becoming an even greater possibility, his potential transfer is set to dominate the media coverage in the summer.

And Liverpool supporters could be forgiven for being quite excited by the links, even if they seem unlikely to land any deal with PSG at this stage.
